Week 5: The end of the first diamond
Hi!
This week we realized we need to focus on one primary need that we want to solve. We had dilemmas as a team, and we decided to ask for help from our mentors. After presenting the findings of the first phase, we received feedback that we were not focused enough, so we decided to rethink. We realized that it is more than one problem, and it is too general.
We understood that on that point, we needed to take a weekend off and think for ourselves what is the effective way to accomplish the mission. So we arranged to meet on Sunday to discuss things again. We realized that we are sometimes too engrossed in work to think effectively as a team.
In addition, this week, we continued to conduct in-depth research with the help of articles, experts, and interviews with end-users to understand our main need perfectly.
Cheers for the end of the first diamond
Also, this week we made Empathy Map that helped us understand the main problem that we want to solve. We examined our persona, and according to her, we wrote at the empathy map how she feels, what she hears, the frustrations she experiences, etc.
We changed our How Might We question, which will be more precise and focused on the primary need of our target audience.
How might we provide Jenny the emotional support she needs during the pregnancy period?
After many meetings, we did this week, research we conducted, and dilemmas that arose during it. Finally, we were able to get some good insights that helped us understand what the main problem was. At that point, we are ready to start thinking about the solution.
