Week 1 +2 : Let's get started
Welcome to our blog!
This week we have started our journey in the Milab Studio program. We are a team of five students- Maya Greenberg, Yuval Bork, Eitan Gueron, Yarden Nachman, and Yuval Zetouni- from Reichman University, School of Psychology, Communication and Computer Science (you can learn more about us at the About section).
Every year the lab focuses on a different challenge; this year, the chosen one is companionship.
This is us at our first meeting | October 19, 2021
This week we have met several times to think about domains that connect to our leading principle- companionship. We were asked to learn more about companionship, then we did brainstorming and looked for some issues.
We managed to choose three domains that we were all interested in - The third age, Social Networks and Medicine. We managed to interview six experts, two experts in each domain. Our main goal was to find out more information and pinpoint different problems related to the domains.
By the end of the first week, we have decided to focus on the main domain that we feel most connected to- Pregnant women and all the aspects that came with the journey, especially postpartum depression. After we did research about medicine, we figured out that there is a big issue with postpartum depression. We found that there is not enough information or help on this issue and many women encounter this situation without any real help.
Stay tuned as we continue our study and begin our adventure, finding out what our solution will be.
